if you try to leave the mafia in italy they will hunt you down and kill you, there is no way you can quit and just walk away, you need to go into hiding always looking over your shoulder.

it's the same with witnesses, you can't just quit, you need to be disfellowshiped and punished....and you'll always be worried looking over your shoulder even if you go into hiding.

You are so right. This girl is so deluded. She is a zealot like born in, who can not think outside of the WT. She is not covering up at all. I think she will 'hang her self', as she is now the only JW amongst the staff. She'll probably say, she's being persecuted by Satan's apostate.

That's very true. I have been shunned by my old 'friends' and at work there is an ex pioneer partner who is shunning me. As we work in the same school it is very difficult not to say hi, as professionally, it's expected. I say Hi, she says nothing. It happens every time; her face looking mean and spiteful. She then greets the person next to her in a very friendly way. Some of my colleagues are starting to notice. I am surprised, she doesn't realize what a bad 'witness' this is.

Also, my husband, who is a guitar teacher is having trouble at work. He works for a former JW 'friend' who is the music coordinator at the primary school that he works at. She is shunning us, so we wondered how she would behave when the new school term begun. Well, we were right to wonder. she has now employed another guitar teacher to teach guitar and decreased my husbands lessons. My husband was not informed by her. She actually told the new guitar teacher, who my husband didn't even know, to tell him. We are waiting to see what happens next. We feel she will be formulating a way of constructively dismissing him.

So, we are being punished for leaving. They can't just let us go in peace.

(she has no intentions of making a commitment, but still continues studying with old pioneer 'friends' of mine.

'I'm amazed that some Jehovah's Witnesses deny that they shun former members.'

Their recent articles on Official JW Web, shows they are now VERY bare faced! on shunning.

I thought they could have just said,Hello! it was so unnecessary. Also their faces looked so mean! These are ladies I have never had a cross word with. Stepping out of the Tower, I could really see how brainwashed they were.It was like they were possessed!

My God! this Org is EVIL! Rachel, NEVER, give up, fight to get your parents back!

It's so weird I can hardly believe it's happening, but it is.

If my family did this to me, I think I would be physically sick. How awful this must be for those whose family have rejected them.

I feel so very sad that my 2 boys still go and even though they say they will not shun us, they have not stood up for us or even told the elders that they were wrong. I know they are trapped, but it undermines us so.

I feel that the elders are smug,knowing they have our children.
One elder even directed the boys to an article on how to shun family.

Today, I feel nauseous!

Today I decided to visit a friend of mine who I met when she was my study.(She has no intentions of making a commitment, but still continues studying with old pioneer 'friends' of mine.)
Well it just so happens that these 2 sisters were there.

Knowing full well that the rules say they must shun me;determined not to follow their rules,I said hello.
Well right there, in front of their study, they blank me. I say hi again and asked them what was up. One of the sisters, who had been one of my closest 'friends' continued to blank me.
I decided it best to go and said goodbye to everyone, ignoring the shunning.

Later I phoned my ex study friend. I told her that she has had a good lesson on shunning. She agreed.

I'm surprised she still studies, as she says shunning is wrong and doesn't agree with the blood issue. Indeed she would have died after childbirth if she had followed there guide.

Anyway, I hope this shows her what being a JW means.

what does being a parent mean to you? my definition

being a parent means asking for the wing out of the kentucky fried chicken basket just because you want your family to get the best pieces.. .

being a parent means watching traffic through your side mirrors and your child through the rear view mirror of your car because your afraid she'll cough on her crackers or even just bob her head to the music and you don't want to miss it.

it means getting light headed blowing up a whole house full of balloons just because it will make her smile.. .

Being a parent (of a teenager) means hugging them(through gritted teeth), the day after they told you to get stuffed!
